This August 2014 article from Zweigwhite CENews highlights a trend happening in many cities of not just the "supertall" (defined by CTBUH as between 300 to 600 m in height), but the appearance of the "superslim". This design design by Rafael Vinoly Architects has an aspect ratio of 15:1 and would require special wind-engineering attention while pushing the technical envelope of design and construction experience. Similarly large aspect ratio buildings have appeared in Australia and MEL consultants have been involved with wind-engineering advice and, in some cases, the design of dampers to control upper-floor motion.
